Treatment

Anxiety

Fear and anxiety are often used interchangeably, but they're quite different.

Fear often arises when we are faced with an immediate threat. However, anxiety is often felt when we imagine a threat—when we ask ourselves, "What if...?"

You may be experiencing

  • Nervousness, restlessness, trembling, or muscular tension
  • Sense of impending danger or doom
  • Elevated heart rate and rapid breathing
  • Fatigue and concentration difficulties
  • Sleep disturbances
  • Uncontrollable worry
  • Gastrointestinal problems
  • Avoidance behaviors
  • Life-impacting symptom severity

Treatment Approach

Our practice uses an integration of evidence-based skills that explore your "What ifs." The goal is to help you transition from anxious questioning to forward-focused thinking: from "What if?" to "What's next?"

Clients have reported

  • Increased calmness and relaxation
  • Enhanced stress management capabilities
  • Improved coping mechanisms
